The model name is the starting point. Your device settings help confirm the version in your hands.
iPhone
Open Settings → General → About to find your model. Under Carrier Lock, “No SIM restrictions” means the iPhone is unlocked. Then check Settings → Cellular or Mobile Data for Add eSIM.
Samsung Galaxy
Open Settings → About phone to find your model. Then open Settings → Connections → SIM manager and look for Add eSIM. If you are unsure whether the phone is unlocked, ask the carrier that supplied it.
Google Pixel
Open Settings → About phone to find your model. Under Network & internet → SIMs, look for the option to add an eSIM. If a carrier supplied your phone, confirm it is unlocked.
Tablets and Windows laptops
A tablet needs an eSIM-capable cellular version; Wi-Fi-only models cannot install NXTL. On Windows, open Settings → Network & internet → Cellular and check for eSIM profiles. A laptop with Wi-Fi alone is not enough.

Tablets
Use NXTL directly on an eSIM-capable cellular tablet. A Wi-Fi-only tablet can connect through a compatible phone’s hotspot instead.
Laptops
Work away from hotel Wi-Fi. Install directly only if your laptop has suitable cellular and eSIM hardware, or share data from your phone.
Travel routers and hotspots
A dedicated connection can serve more than one Wi-Fi device. Before buying, check that the exact router accepts third-party eSIM profiles—not only a physical SIM or its own provider’s plans.
Cars and campervans
Bring data along through a compatible phone or travel router. Direct installation into built-in vehicle equipment needs a separate check: an embedded eSIM does not automatically accept a travel eSIM.
A few things worth checking.
Does having 5G mean my phone supports eSIM?
No. 5G describes a mobile connection technology; eSIM is a separate device feature. Check the exact model and its settings before buying.
Can I keep my usual SIM?
On a compatible dual-SIM device, you can keep your usual SIM and choose NXTL for mobile data. Your home carrier’s charges still apply if you use its calls, messages or roaming.
Can I move one NXTL eSIM between devices?
Do not assume an installed profile can be moved by scanning its QR code again. Check with NXTL support before changing devices or deleting a profile. For devices you want to use separately, each needs its own NXTL eSIM.
